ESCAVIE : Advice space for autonomy in the ordinary environment of life
Virtual reality application, for the Social Security (CRAMIF), using the Oculus Rift, for the prevention of MSD (Musculoskeletal disorders).
Objective of the project
The project allows the therapist to create an environment that allows the Oculus Rift headset user to become aware of his or her posture in relation to the presence or absence of various typical objects on a computer station.
Our job: Application in Virtual Reality
In this project, the therapist can change the position and orientation of objects, the intensity of lights and their colour « remotely » via wifi. As part of the project, several types of screen have been modelled as well as several types of mouse, document holders, screen holders and all are configurable by the therapist.
The software also contains functionality to measure the distance between objects and the distance to the user’s eyes. Using the Oculus Rift, the user is fully immersed and can become aware of their posture in relation to each object.
